A leading hotel management firm is seeking a Hotel Operations Manager in Nanaimo, Canada. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring a high standard of guest service. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in hotel operations and strong financial acumen. Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food service.
Maintain high standards of guest service, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and consistent delivery of a positive guest experience.
Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize revenues through strategic planning and effective operational management.
Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and operational standards.
Monitor property condition and coordinate maintenance and capital improvements as required.
Prepare and present regular operational and financial reports to ownership.
Proven leadership experience in hotel operations, ideally in a limited-service environment.
Strong business and financial acumen with a track record of meeting revenue and expense targets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
Hands-on approach with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
