Job Description

We are hiring for a Hospitality Services Manager to lead a team of approximately 156 staff in food, housekeeping, and resident laundry services. Performs and/or delegates tasks such as hiring, training, coaching and administrative duties for employees and customers of Agecare Skypointe. Maintains all records and ensures all audit compliance. Works with no immediate supervision and accomplishes tasks in a fast-paced environment following both client and company guidelines.

The Hospitality Services Manager will be responsible to meet the growing needs of delivering a best-in-class hospitality service to everyone our teams serve daily. The role will be responsible for: delivering resident and family focused services, building strong and enduring partnerships with our client/s and the community, and creating a culture of customer service and accountability.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the full operation of foodservices, housekeeping, and resident laundry in a multi service environment that includes Long Term Care and Independent Living
  • Incorporates principles of person-centered care into all aspects of the operations
  • Responsible for all aspects of menu and nourishment cycle development and evaluation in conjunction and collaboration with site Dietitian/AHS Dietitian and Aramark Corporate Menu Development team
  • Organizes/delegates preparation and delivery of all resident and client catered functions.
  • Prepares annual budget with ongoing review, monitoring and approval of all revenues and expenses. Prepares monthly report for client.
  • Participates in client contract negotiations.
  • Participates in the development and presentation of annual business reviews.
  • Performs/delegates monthly Food Safe Audit/Food Management
  • Performs/delegates biannual Resident Satisfaction Survey
  • Performs/delegates monthly Housekeeping Audits
  • Participates in Resident Council monthly meetings.
  • Participates/delegates attendance in all client committees.
  • Prepares for and participates in PIR audits, Government Accommodation Standards, Accreditation,
  • Ensures compliance with Aramark audits and Business Conduct Policy
  • Performs/delegates all work in accordance with Client and Aramark policies and procedures, including but not limited to, quality assurance items and all Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Organizes/delegates all Human Resources functions, including recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, payroll, and employee performance management. Consults with Aramark HR team as appropriate.
  • Maintains/delegates input for all Aramark systems including but not limited to E4W, GFF, Kronos, GMM, MWL
  • Organizes/delegates regular staff meetings.
  • Maintains current knowledge of best practice in seniors living. Identifies emerging trends and incorporates into the environment
  • Displays polite, spirit-of-service attitude towards residents, clients, care-partners and co-workers. Maintains friendly, efficient, and responsive attitude toward client and residents while performing job duties.
  • Investigates resident, family, and employee concerns and complaints with focus on follow up and appropriate resolution.
  • Investigates/delegates all employee injuries and near misses with focus on recommendations for prevention of future incidents. Liaises with the Aramark Safety team on incidents.
Qualifications

Mandatory:
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must successfully complete the required training program within the defined probationary period.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, clients, staff, and co-workers.
• Must have the physical capabilities required for light lifting and frequent walking
• In addition, incumbent must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment. Must be willing and capable of working in fast paced environment.
• Must provide clear Criminal Record check and vulnerable sector screen

Preferred:
• Minimum 2-year College Diploma with a Management, Hotel/Restaurant or Dietetic specialty, or 5 years related experience.
• Advanced Food Safety Certification
• 5 years minimum experience in Management in a Healthcare environment.
• Word, Office 365 and Excel knowledge is required
