A government organization in Yukon is seeking a Registered Nurse to enhance client care within the Home Care Program. The role involves providing professional nursing care, coordinating with medical professionals, and developing individualized care plans. Candidates should have recent clinical experience and be eligible for registration with a Canadian nursing authority. This posting is for 2 vacancies: one part-time term position ending October 16, 2026, working 67.5 hours bi-weekly and one full-time term position ending December 14, 2026, working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill anticipatory permanent, term, AOC and casual vacancies. This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

The Yukon Home Care Program provides client-focused health services in the home, improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs, including support for acute care, chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers and Home Support Workers.
As an integral team member, the Registered Nurse service delivery includes client specific care coordination, liaising with the medical community, direct nursing care such as education, treatment related to medical conditions (i.e. wound care, ostomy care etc.), collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, development of care plans, funding requests, and other nursing duties.
