A leading IT consulting firm based in Winnipeg is seeking a Visual C++~Core .NET Technologies Developer for a 6-month contract. The role involves designing RAML files and developing microservices while adhering to architecture and testing protocols. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in REST and microservice design, alongside strong knowledge of SQL Server and the P&C insurance industry. This position requires both technical expertise and effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in REST and microservice design.
• Knowledge of MSTest, Process Tests and Unit Tests.
• Experience with ADO, Stored procedures, and functions.

Role: Visual C++~Core .NET Technologies Developer

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Duration: 6 months

Visual C++~Core .NET Technologies Developer

Responsibilities

• Design a RAML file meeting service specifications provided
• Use RAML and TDD to develop microservices adhering to architecture requirements and current microservice designs
• Setup builds in TFS to run CI tests and deploy services and database project changes
• Pull new work from sprint backlogs as work is completed
• Break down work so blocking issues can be foreseen or work can continue until they are resolved
• Effectively communicate changing needs and information requirements to analysts and other developers
• Read other projects and follow patterns presented appropriately, but able to present new ideas effectively
• Able to produce effectively on your own with a little direction

Qualifications

• University Degree or college diploma in computer science, information systems or a related discipline
• 4+ years of experience in REST and microservice design
• Testing practices, knowledge of MSTest, Process Tests and Unit Tests
