Job description
Overview

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for Class 3 Pressure / High Pressure Operators to join their safety conscious team at Suncor Fort Hills. You will be responsible for operating and driving various assigned units such as combo units, water trucks, pressure trucks, and for performing a variety of jobs as dictated by the client. This is a Union Local 362 Teamsters position. This is a 14/14 rotation, with full rates starting at $41.44/hour.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Drives, operates and stages units.
  • Performs pre and post trip inspections.
  • Assists with job site preparation, staging equipment.
  • Maintains and updates driver’s logbook.
  • Communicates with dispatchers and supervisors throughout the day.
  • Performs roadside repairs as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years operating pressure & high pressure units required
  • Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License required with 18 speed manual transmission experience
  • Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates (proof required prior to first day and site arrival). Training can be arranged.
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous Oilsands or industrial experience
  • Experience with a Hose Reel/Sewer Flusher would be an asset
  • Experience with tube cleaning/ tank stinging an asset
  • HEO ticket an asset
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment
  • Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions
