Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Powell River, BC for a Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist. The Hearing Practitioner is responsible for helping their patients with hearing loss by assessing patients' hearing needs through tests and consultations, fitting and programming hearing aids, and providing education to patients on hearing health and device usage. The role involves maintaining accurate patient records, following up on patient care plans, and contributing to the growth of the clinic’s patient base by fostering positive relationships and promoting hearing health awareness.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and audiology services
  • Strong interpersonal, patient care, and communication skills
  • Experience with record keeping, patient consultations, and follow-up care
  • Knowledge of hearing healthcare devices and technological advancements in the field
  • Registered and licensed to practice as a Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) or Audiologist in British Columbia
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a compassionate, professional team
  • Passion for providing high-quality patient care and improving hearing health
  • Experience in a clinical or audiology setting preferred
