Site: Campbellford Memorial Hospital - 146 Oliver Rd

Hours: Monday - Friday 0800-1600

Payrate: $21.12/hour

Overtime Method: Ontario ESA

As a Team Lead at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, you will be responsible for overseeing a small, dedicated team to deliver the exceptional service Paladin provides. You will report directly to the site's Client and CSM when it comes to fulfilling the responsibilities of the role, as well as any documentation/reports from incidents during your shift.

Job Description

• Maintain professionalism in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Deliver strong customer service with excellent interpersonal skills
• Stay calm and perform effectively in emergencies
• Follow instructions, procedures, and policies accurately
• Demonstrate keen observation and thorough note-taking
• Apply conflict resolution, mediation, and de-escalation skills
• Provide concierge-style assistance to patients, visitors, and clients
• Manage access cards (programming and monitoring)
• Conduct patient watches
• Complete incident reporting and end-of-shift reports
• Regular safety inspections as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved)
• Clean-shaven for N95 Mask Fit Test
• Valid G-class license with reliable vehicle
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)
• Immunization records: MMR-V (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella) and TB (required at time of hire; applicants without proof are ineligible)

• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• Minimum 1 year security experience (healthcare experience preferred)
• Minimum 6 months supervisor experience in security
• Fluent English communication skills (French an asset)
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
