Site: Various Locations

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Hours: Various shift times

Payrate: CA$17.95/hour to CA$22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
• Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
• Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
• Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to):
• Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols
• Response & assistance in emergency situations
• Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift
• Investigate routine incidents
• Patient watches
• Parking & smoking by-law enforcement
• Hospital policy awareness & enforcement
• Access control/key control
• Monthly safety inspections
• Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB)
• Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis required at time of hire
• Steps to get your immunization records: Immunization form and KHSC Immunization Forms
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
• Minimum 6 months non-healthcare security experience preferred
• Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
• English proficiency (oral & written) required
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
• 6+ months of customer service experience is an asset
• Must provide certifications in Stay Safe or opt into Paladin\'s Stay Safe certification pre-onboarding
• Stay Safe certification is not paid; Paladin covers costs with a 6-month commitment
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
