We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Head of Finance to lead the evolution of our finance function during an exciting phase of rapid growth. This is not a maintenance role; it’s a unique opportunity to build and elevate. You’ll have the autonomy and executive support to design scalable systems, embrace emerging technologies, and position finance as a true strategic partner driving insight and decision-making. You’ll work closely with leadership to advance multi-entity reporting, strengthen system connectivity, and create a finance infrastructure that supports continued expansion and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Financial Control

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and reporting for multiple entities (operating, service, and holding companies).
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements across entities and regions.
  • Manage tax filings, compliance, and audit readiness in coordination with external partners.
  • Oversee and continuously improve client invoicing and collections processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistent cash flow management across entities.

Systems & Process Transformation

  • Assess current tools and workflows; implement scalable systems and automation aligned with future technology trends.
  • Optimize payroll, billing, expense management, and vendor payment processes for efficiency and growth.
  • Collaborate with operations and IT to enhance connectivity and optimize financial data flows within practice management platforms.

Strategic Partnership

  • Deliver forward-looking financial analysis and insights to guide strategic planning.
  • Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and performance dashboards.
  • Manage banking relationships and capital planning activities.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a distributed finance team, fostering accountability and precision.
  • Establish scalable processes and documentation to support continued firm growth.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or controllership experience; ideally in a multi-entity or professional services environment.
  • Extensive experience in the United States.
  • Expertise in cash and accrual accounting, GAAP reporting, and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Proven success implementing new finance or ERP tools and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Strong background in audits, compliance, and external financial communications.
  • Strategic mindset with readiness to stay hands-on during growth phases.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
You’ll Thrive Here If You…
  • Excel at turning complexity into clarity and structure.
  • Enjoy being both operationally sharp and strategically impactful.
  • Are comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Want to influence how finance shapes the next chapter of a growing, elite firm.
