Join Our Culinary Leadership Team!
We're searching for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen at our busy Saint John gastropub. Our menu celebrates elevated pub fare, local ingredients, and bold, approachable flavours - and we're looking for a chef who can bring creativity, consistency, and leadership to the table.

As Head Chef, you'll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations - from menu development and team management to maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. If you're a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves creating memorable dining experiences, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and inspire a talented kitchen team, fostering a positive, efficient, and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and reflect our gastropub's character.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes, from pub classics to creative daily features.
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and cost control to meet budget targets.
  • Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, encouraging growth and professional development.
  • Collaborate with management on menu pricing, specials, and event planning.
  • Step onto the line during busy services to lead by example and keep service running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
  • 2 - 5 years of culinary experience, including leadership or sous chef roles in a restaurant or gastropub setting.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, budgets, and scheduling.
  • Strong culinary creativity and a passion for gastropub-style cuisine.

  • Culinary education or Red Seal certification is an asset but not required.
