Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and design creative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in all food handling practices.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including scheduling shifts and managing workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of hospitality practices and restaurant management principles.
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking techniques in a professional kitchen environment.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to create innovative dishes that enhance the restaurant's menu offerings.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both cooking processes and presentation.
- Experience in supervising kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Bartending experience is a plus for creating beverage pairings with menu items.
- Experience: Cooking – 5 years (required)
- Licence/Certification: Food Handler Certification (preferred)
