Dominion Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology - Winnipeg, MB CA (Primary)
Standard Application
Description:
Dominion Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology (DCOG) is looking for two qualified generalist Obstetricians/Gynecologists to join the DCOG call group and clinic at 47 Marion Street, Wpg, MB. Our clinic consists of a dynamic group of physicians who are highly supportive of each other. We have a modern clinic space located within walking distance of St. Boniface Hospital with an excellent support team, including an in-house office manager/billing officer and medical office assistants at a ratio of one assistant per physician. Our clinic group forms part of the DCOG call group, a group of 11 Obstetricians & Gynecologists who share emergency gynecology and obstetrical patient coverage at St. Boniface Hospital. Our physicians have a wide variety of experience and expertise, including Colposcopy, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Gender-Affirming Care, Family Planning, and Urogynecology.
Gynecologic surgical time will be initially limited to scramble slates, with the opportunity to secure regular slates as need is determined by the department. Emergency surgery would be expected as part of gynecology call. Additional opportunities for Gynecology would include optional participation in the Acute Care Gynecologic Service based out of the Health Sciences Centre. Since the hospital is a teaching centre, the application process will be a dual application for appointment to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health Sciences with the expectation of involvement in clinical and didactic undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
We are committed to fostering an environment of skill-building and mutual learning. We therefore have developed the concept of a potential “transition to practice” program for a new graduate who was looking to start practice without a fellowship but with some additional support. Our vision includes formal mentorship through establishing a practice and practice management. This would be a flexible arrangement designed to meet the needs of the applicant.
The successful applicant will support a work and learning environment that embraces the Max Rady College of Medicine’s Equity, Diversity and inclusion (EDI) policies. With that in mind, applications should include a statement on the applicant’s current or planned contributions to EDI initiatives. We welcome applications from people who reflect the diversity of the community that we serve, including those with marginalized gender identities, racialized and Indigenous people, people with disabilities, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Start date: Negotiable.
Application Deadline: November 15, 2025.
Please submit cover letter and CV.
