Together with our philanthropic, volunteer, and professional leadership, we are changing lives.

As one of North America’s leading Jewish non‑profits, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto works to preserve and strengthen the quality of Jewish life in Greater Toronto, Canada, Israel, and around the world. UJA advances this mission through fundraising, programs, and research focused on our strategic pillars: fighting poverty and improving well‑being, growing Jewish education and identity, countering antisemitism and hate, and strengthening connections with Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.

About the Opportunity

Situated within UJA’s Integrated Development Department, the Marketing Team is a leader in the voice and brand of the entire organization, using creative content, design, multimedia, and experiences to engage community members in UJA’s mission.

Reporting to the VP, Communications and Content Strategy, we’re seeking a Graphic Designer to be part of a dynamic creative team to conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of projects in print, digital and experiential design. The ideal candidate will collaborate with writers, marketing managers, planning and fundraising professionals to lead their projects from concept to production.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with the other members of the Marketing team to develop visual and event concepts
  • Lead the overall creative and production design of projects, events, and experiences within a dedicated portfolio
  • Translate an idea effectively and flawlessly across multiple messaging touchpoints, including email, web, print, social, and event signage
  • Ensure design quality, consistency, and delivery by project deadlines
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Design, Communications/Advertising or related discipline
  • 3+ years of working experience as a Graphic Designer
  • A hands‑on designer - proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Motion Design software a plus.
  • Excellent portfolio of work that demonstrates high-quality ideation and graphic design within a variety of marketing campaign projects
  • Passionate advocate and visible champion of UJA’s mission, values, and goals, inspiring others through action and unwavering commitment to advancing our shared purpose.
  • Undeniable creative chops: you play a critical role in the conceptual phase of projects, and work seamlessly with your team to deliver winning projects
  • Ability to gracefully handle pressure and meet tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks and opportunities with acute attention to detail
  • Excellent design and typography skills as well as file preparation for print and digital
  • Experience reviewing print proofs and samples
  • Excellent time management, organizational, verbal, and written communications skills- comfortable with presenting to groups
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Copywriting skills are an asset
  • Experience in Stripo and Campaign Monitor is an asset
  • Experience working in non‑profit is an asset
