A leading mining company in Kirkland Lake is seeking a Grader Operator (Miner 3) to join their Mine Operations Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Miner 2 and 3 years of grader operation experience, along with strong communication skills. This role involves operating heavy machinery safely and performing routine maintenance. With a scheduled 7/7 work shift, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to a respected leader in the mining industry.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 2 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years grader experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

  • Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Operations Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Completed and on going competence with required core module;
  • Operating grader equipment to fine grade, spread and push aggregate materials;
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment;
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader;
  • Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner;
  • Operate other heavy equipment and other logistics related duties as required;
  • Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hard rock common core;
  • Housekeeping – Keep work area clean free from hazards;
  • Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5-point card, aligning with daily tasks;
  • Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI’s set by Supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 2 or equivalent;
  • Minimum 3 years grader experience;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Schedule: 7/7 (Monday to Thursday) schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
