Do you love all things golf? Ever wanted to work and play on Canada’s highest-elevation golf course? We are looking to recruit a Golf Outside Operations Lead for the upcoming summer. You will work with the Golf Operations team to create a professional and respectful environment for both guests and employees. The ideal applicant is happy to work indoors and outdoors in a mountain environment in varying weather conditions. Compensation Information: $22.10 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium, Indoor and Outdoor.

• Walking, standing, bending, crouching and twisting for periods of time.
• Ability to work in various conditions, including inside the shop, underground in the garage space, and outside.
• Exposure to heat, rain, smoke, and noise.
• Lifting – Exerting 20+ kg of strength occasionally, and/or 10 kg of strength frequently or constantly to move objects.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills You Bring With You

• Previous experience as lead hand or supervisor an asset.
• Strategic decision-making, conflict resolution and organizational skills.
• Experience leading and motivating a team collaboratively, and with respectful communication.
• Strong guest service skills (book tee times, handle inquiries, resolve concerns).
• Familiar with operating a Point of Sale and Tee Sheet System, and administrative processes.
• Self-motivated with the ability to respond and manage multiple demands.
• Fundamental knowledge of golf is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Primary Responsibilities

• Understand, follow, and enforce golf policies and procedures to ensure smooth, consistent, and efficient operations.
• Leadership: lead by example and support team growth to develop a welcoming, respectful, professional, and service focused environment.
• Adapt to different learning and communication styles of employees and guests.
• Oversee and execute all golf outside operational functions.
• Daily inspection and maintenance of golf carts, power washer, and chargers.
• Ensure all tasks are performed to completion: stocking, charging, washing and staging.
• Daily inspection of rental equipment. Ensure safe use for staff and guests.
• Record Keeping: monitor, record and report any damage or concerns immediately.
• Follow up with guest if required to assist with financial recovery.
• Oversee and support valet service staff.
• Ensure they have all supplies required, and cleanliness standards are being met.
• Ensure all outside areas are clean and presentable (Valet Service, cart storage, practice area).
• Develop and maintain relationships with Golf Course Superintendent, maintenance, members, guests, staff, and grounds crew.
• Participate in set-up and take down of operations, inventory duties as requested.
• Operate according to the code of conduct, mission, and values of Sun Peaks Resort LLP and Golf Operations.
• Health and Safety; immediate action required when concerns arise. Report to Manager.
