FUNDRAISING MANAGER

Rainbow Stage is Manitoba’s premier musical theatre company, and Canada’s largest and longest-running outdoor theatre. Staging its first summer musical back in 1955, Rainbow Stage has been creating memories for thousands of theatre goers for over 70 years. A non‑for‑profit organization led by a committed volunteer board of directors, the organization is dedicated to entertaining and engaging the diverse and culturally rich Manitoba community. THE OPPORTUNITY

Rainbow Stage is seeking a Fundraising Manager to manage all areas of fund development—including individual and corporate giving, sponsorships, and special events. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), this full‑time role will actively build fundraising revenue by creating a strong donor experience through meaningful engagement and a dedicated approach to donor stewardship. The successful incumbent will be a highly organized and creative individual, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines while working collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work in collaboration with the ED and the Board’s Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee to develop and execute an annual fundraising plan.
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and new sources of revenue.
  • Lead the solicitation, engagement, and stewardship of donors, cultivating an environment where donors feel connected and valued.
  • Build and nurture relationships with sponsors and stakeholders to establish strategic partnerships and strengthen community support for the organization.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of various special events and marketing initiatives, including group sales.
  • Research and write grant applications, corporate sponsorship asks, and partnership agreements.
  • Manage all administrative functions related to fundraising and development.
  • Adhere to the legal, regulatory, and ethical fundraising and financial standards for charitable organizations.
SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Post‑secondary education in business or marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of fundraising experience in a non‑profit organization.
  • Proven ability to create and execute strategic fundraising plans.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication abilities, able to build and steward a network of supporters within the arts sector and across the donor community.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Technologically proficient, comfortable working with data base and/or fundraising software, social media and digital tools.
  • Member in good standing with the Association of Fundraising Professionals or equivalent would be an asset.
