A leading technology firm is seeking an experienced engineer for its Collaboration team. You will build innovative GenAI-powered experiences to enhance productivity among employees. Required qualifications include over 7 years of experience and proficiency in modern frameworks like React. This full-time role involves cross-functional teamwork, managing solutions end-to-end, and mentoring junior engineers. Exceptional benefits and a competitive salary range of $187,500 - $281,300 are offered for this position based in Toronto.
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
The Collaboration team helps Stripe employees work smarter, find information and share knowledge, get to know each other, and request and receive help from one another. Many of our solutions come together in Stripe Home, our custom-built intranet (read more about it here: https://stripe.com/blog/stripe-home). The team is small and nimble, and works across a wide stack: on any given day, we discuss user interface design, data models, API design, infrastructure maintenance, search relevance, or all of the above. We’re excited to innovate in a space that traditionally isn’t thought of in the forefront of innovation.
Being a small team, we carefully choose what we work on to have the highest leverage. This is not always easy: we work very cross-functionally, at times partnering with various groups from engineering to HR to top management of the company. But one of our greatest rewards is getting to sit next to and see the impact our work has on our users: our fellow Stripe employees.
As an engineer on Stripe’s Collaboration team, you will be a key member of a team that acts as a force multiplier on the internal tools that Stripe uses. You will focus on building innovative GenAI‑powered experiences that help Stripe employees be more productive across various tasks and activities. You will build these experiences by collaborating with multiple other teams across Stripe and experimenting with different ideas and newest technologies.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Office‑assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in‑office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in‑office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in‑person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
