Position Overview

As the first Account Executive at DraftAid, you will play a pivotal role in our go-to-market strategy, driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. You'll work directly with the founding team to refine our sales process, demonstrate our AI-powered CAD automation platform to prospects, and close deals that deliver measurable value to engineering teams. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the sales function at a fast-growing AI startup while making a significant impact on our trajectory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including demos, proposals, and negotiations

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive adoption of DraftAid's platform

  • Build relationships with key decision-makers in engineering, design, and manufacturing departments

  • Collaborate with the founding team to refine sales messaging, positioning, and processes

  • Provide detailed feedback from customer interactions to inform product development

  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline and consistently achieve quarterly revenue targets

  • Document best practices and help establish scalable sales processes Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and CAD/engineering workflows

  • Represent DraftAid at industry events and conferences as needed

    Qualifications
    Required
  • 3+ years of successful B2B software sales experience, preferably in SaaS Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Experience selling technical products to engineering or manufacturing teams

  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales productivity tools Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

    Preferred
  • Experience selling CAD, engineering software, or automation solutions

  • Knowledge of engineering workflows, manufacturing processes, or design principles

  • Background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related technical field

  • Experience in a startup environment or being an early sales hire

  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their business applications

  • Experience building and scaling sales processes from the ground up
