DraftAid is seeking its first Account Executive to drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, and refine sales processes in a fast-paced AI startup environment. A successful candidate will have a background in B2B software sales and the ability to engage engineering and manufacturing teams effectively.
As the first Account Executive at DraftAid, you will play a pivotal role in our go-to-market strategy, driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. You'll work directly with the founding team to refine our sales process, demonstrate our AI-powered CAD automation platform to prospects, and close deals that deliver measurable value to engineering teams. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the sales function at a fast-growing AI startup while making a significant impact on our trajectory.
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including demos, proposals, and negotiations
Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive adoption of DraftAid's platform
Build relationships with key decision-makers in engineering, design, and manufacturing departments
Collaborate with the founding team to refine sales messaging, positioning, and processes
Provide detailed feedback from customer interactions to inform product development
Accurately forecast sales pipeline and consistently achieve quarterly revenue targets
Document best practices and help establish scalable sales processes Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and CAD/engineering workflows
Represent DraftAid at industry events and conferences as needed
3+ years of successful B2B software sales experience, preferably in SaaS Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience selling technical products to engineering or manufacturing teams
Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales productivity tools Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience selling CAD, engineering software, or automation solutions
Knowledge of engineering workflows, manufacturing processes, or design principles
Background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related technical field
Experience in a startup environment or being an early sales hire
Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their business applications
Experience building and scaling sales processes from the ground up
