About the Role

We are looking to welcome an energetic self-starter, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our Edmonton Shipping Team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and embraces our Continuous Improvement working culture. We are hiring at our Edmonton location at 5219 47 St NW for the following shift:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
Compensation

The typical hiring range for this position is $20-22.50/hour

Responsibilities
  • Pick and stage orders in the warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate an electric sit-down counterbalance safely and efficiently
  • Use barcode system to locate product in the warehouse
  • Unload production lines and put away product in the warehouse as required
  • Ensure all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems
  • Count inventory as required
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating a forklift
  • Comfortable working outside from time to time sorting pallets and bringing pallets to production
  • Other general warehouse duties as required
Qualifications
  • Current forklift certificate class 1, 4, 5 required
  • 3-5 years of forklift experience required
  • Certification with high-reach forklift is considered an asset
  • Intermediate first aid is an asset
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, as this position requires lifting, bending, and moderate physical exertion
  • Ability to multi-task
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude
