Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the assigned restaurant, lounge, or outlet
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a large front-line team, fostering engagement and performance excellence
- Support staffing, scheduling, and recruitment initiatives to meet business needs
- Ensure the profitability of outlet operations by monitoring and achieving financial and performance goals
- Review and recommend policies or procedural changes to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction results, preparing reports and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Exercise problem-solving and conflict resolution to ensure positive outcomes
- Oversee inventory administration, cost of goods, and labour control alongside the Manager
- Support promotions, entertainment events, and special functions within outlets
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations while maintaining a safe, clean work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in restaurant or bar operations
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality, and F&B trends
- Experience managing a large team and motivating staff in a high-volume environment
- Familiarity with budgets, cost control, and financial performance metrics
- Knowledge of Employment Standards, Health & Safety, and Liquor License Act
- Smart Serve and Food Handlers certification required (WHMIS training provided)
- Eligibility for AGCO Category 1 Licensing
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7 operation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience managing in a unionized environment is considered an asset
