A global tire manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accountant / Financial Analyst in Toronto. The role involves financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis according to US GAAP and company practices. Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and have 3+ years of related experience. Proficiency in tools such as SAP and Cognos is preferred. This position offers a hybrid work model and values diversity in the workforce.

Primary Purpose of the Position
The Accountant / Financial Analyst will provide clear, accurate information for managing and analyzing various business segments in accordance with accounting principles, government regulations and company practices. This role involves forecasting, reporting and month end close activities for Goodyear Canada. Key duties involve analyzing and forecasting sales incentive rebates including the preparation of schedules and payments as well as monthly reporting to the business and any ad hoc reporting as needed. The seasoned candidate will be inquisitive and able to work in an abstract manner using data warehouse reporting (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI) to forecast and analyze rebate programs for various customers and products. Month end activities involve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
