About the Role

The Finance Manager will support the Vice President of Finance & Administration by playing a key role in month-end close, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across a fast-moving, growth-oriented organization.

What You’ll Do - Key Responsibilities

Branded Business Support (Primary Focus)

  • Own month-end processes including analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations for Sales/Accounts Receivable, Inventory/COGS, liquor taxes, and sales commissions.
  • Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Develop actionable reporting and insights that enhance visibility, support decision-making, and improve financial performance.
  • Manage customer pricing controls, conduct margin analysis, and provide recommendations.
  • Support change management initiatives driven by shifts in industry regulations or tax structures.

Overall Business Support (Branded & Contract Manufacturing)

  • Perform inventory aging analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Analyze input pricing changes and recommend adjustments.
  • Support capital expenditure analysis, reporting, and planning.
  • Drive process improvements by optimizing system capabilities, harmonizing platforms, and integrating new tools.
  • Provide backup support for time-sensitive AP and AR activities.
  • Coordinate with third-party IT and telecom providers to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Assist in developing procedures, policies, and system enhancements to support compliance and scalability.
  • Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation for external financial audits.
What We’re Looking For
  • A post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
  • Professional designation such as CPA (or in progress).
  • Previous experience in a manager-level finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Power BI is considered an asset.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Relationship-building capabilities across departments, as well as with customers and suppliers.

  • Autonomy and initiative, with the ability to drive solutions and lead change.
  • Experience developing and implementing financial controls.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles, ideally including knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
