What you will do:
- Contribute your skills to a customer focused culture of technical proficiency and dedication to work safety
- Operate company vehicles in a responsible and courteous manner; ensure scheduled vehicle inspections are completed on time
- Working in Customer facing on-site environments
- Maintain company tools and equipment in top working condition
- Maintain a clean workspace free of hazards such as slips, trips and falls
- Review and follow all Safe Work Practices, Safe Job Procedures and Code of Practices
- Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures when required
- Work independently while at customer sites; troubleshoot problems and assess solutions with minimal supervision
- Complete all job-related paperwork in a timely manner: Document detailed information daily, including repair requirements, site pictures, parts used, and labour hours for processing by the sales and service team.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair, overhaul and commission:
- Pumps (Inline, end suction, booster, fire, column and submersible ), Electric Motors, Fans and Blowers, Variable Frequency Drives
- Safely remove and deliver equipment to shop for repair when on site repair is not an option
- Supervise and mentor assigned apprentices
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting, pulling, and pushing (up to 50 Lbs. required – over 50 Lbs. discretionary)
- Working in commercial and industrial locations, at heights, in confined spaces, on construction sites (required on a workorder-by-workorder basis - training provided)
- Working in all seasonal conditions including outdoors in summer and winter months
What will you bring:
- Journeyman, 3rd or 4th year Electric Motor System Technician, Millwright, Plumber or Sprinkler Fitter. Motor winding experience will be considered an asset.
- The ability to work cooperatively on a team
- Your intention to apply your learned skills and diversify your experience through on-the-job education
