Overview

Field Service Representative - Edmonton, Alberta. Join to apply for the Field Service Representative role at Danaher Life Sciences.

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, one of Danaher’s operating companies, focuses on clinical diagnostics and patient health. You will help install and maintain diagnostic instrumentation in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments, supported by Danaher’s continuous improvement system. The Field Service Representative (FSR) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics reports to the Canada West Field Service Manager and is part of the Field Service Organization located in Edmonton, Alberta; the role may involve remote coverage for Edmonton north, Saskatoon north, and other regions as necessary.

In this role you will have the opportunity to :

• Independently serve customers by performing troubleshooting, repair, installation, validation, and preventive maintenance on designated instrumentation.
• Complete timely and accurate preventive maintenance, field modifications, instrument repairs, and service documentation. Deliver exceptional customer service, including technical training on diagnostic products and systems.
• Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, building relationships to become a trusted partner in the customer’s business. Travel throughout the district’s territory and / or Canada to cover various locations where the instrumentation is utilized.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely and accurate preventive maintenance, field modifications, instrument repairs, and service documentation. Deliver exceptional customer service to Beckman Coulter clients, including technical training on diagnostic products and systems.
• Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building on and enhancing the relationship with the customer to become a perceived partner in their business. Travel throughout the district’s territory and / or Canada to cover various locations where our instrumentation is utilized.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relatable experience (field service experience preferred).

Travel, Driver’s License & Physical / Environment

• Ability to travel to and from the United States, hold a valid driver’s license, and meet Beckman Coulter’s safe driver criteria in compliance with the Danaher Company Vehicle Policy and vendor credentialing requirements (annual background checks, immunizations, and required training).
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record over the past three years. Travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight travel within the assigned service district and occasionally to other service districts in Canada. Must be able to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Physical requirements include bending, stooping, twisting, turning, crouching / crawling, pushing / pulling, and prolonged sitting or standing. Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level and good hand / finger dexterity.

Preferred Experience

• Experience servicing IVD instrumentation : clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, urinalysis, lab automation.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is CAD 75,000.00 – 85,000.00. This role is eligible for bonus / incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and retirement plan eligibility where applicable.
