Job summary

A global feminist organization is seeking a Feminist Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Consultant to design and implement a fMEL plan for a multi-year project. The consultant will work remotely, supporting the AFM Secretariat until March 31, 2029. Applicants are encouraged from historically oppressed groups. Proposals are due by September 30, 2025, 11:59 PM EST.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) within feminist contexts.
  • Experience with multi-year projects funded by bilateral donors.
  • Strong facilitation and coordination skills.

The Alliance for Feminist Movements (AFM), currently hosted by AWID, is a collaborative multi-stakeholder initiative with members from governments, philanthropy, women's and feminist funds, civil society, and other allies. Responsibilities

AWID is seeking the services of a consultant to support the AFM Secretariat to develop, implement and support a feminist Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (fMEL) plan for a multi-year project funded by a bilateral donor. The work includes designing the fMEL plan for the project, including a baseline assessment, and carrying out accompaniment and evaluation activities for and with the AFM Secretariat through the end of March 2029.

Global South-based women; trans, non-binary and intersex persons; persons with disabilities and other candidates from historically oppressed groups, of all ages, are strongly encouraged to submit a proposal.
Interested consultants must include the following:

  • Cover letter outlining how the consultant meets the person specification, confirmation of availability in the time frame indicated.
  • A proposal not exceeding 10 pages
  • Curriculum Vitae or profile
  • Contact details of two professional referees (ideally recent clients) relevant for this consultancy.
  • A sample of a similar piece of work previously conducted and concluded. (This will be kept confidential).

Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
