The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will conduct high-impact research in telecommunications and/or networking. Their work will focus on optimizing resource allocation in complex environments that combine wireless networks, optical networks, and distributed systems. To address these challenges, the research will build on the development of broadband communication technologies and advanced information compression methods. In a context increasingly defined by ubiquitous services, these efforts will aim to enable seamless integration of optical and wireless communications, signal processing, and transmission/reception devices into existing infrastructures. Expertise in cybersecurity and in telecommunications applied to robotics or drones will be considered an asset.

Salary will be determined based on the current collective agreement.
While establishing your research program, you will be supported in securing funding from government agencies and industry. You will also receive guidance in recruiting and supervising master’s and doctoral students.
Teaching activities at both undergraduate and graduate levels are conducted in French. Université Laval provides non-Francophone candidates with opportunities to learn and improve their French language skills during the first three years of employment.
