Key Responsibilities

Lead a crew to execute flatwork and wall work projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Coordinate the preparation and pouring of concrete for flat surfaces such as slabs, sidewalks, and driveways, ensuring proper thickness and finish.

Supervise the construction and installation of concrete walls, including foundation walls, retaining walls, and decorative walls, ensuring structural integrity.

Oversee the layout and forming of concrete structures, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and design plans.

Monitor the curing process to guarantee optimal strength and durability of the concrete.

Inspect work for compliance with safety and quality standards, addressing any deficiencies immediately.

Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques for flatwork and wall work, ensuring best practices are followed.

Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.

Collaborate with other trades and project managers to coordinate tasks and schedules effectively.

Complete additional tasks as needed while adhering to our Safety Program.

What We’re Looking For

At least 5 years of experience in concrete walls and flat work with some supervisory roles.

Strong knowledge of construction and concrete practices and safety regulations.

The ability to read blueprints and project specifications with strong attention to detail.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on motivating teams.

Problem-solving skills to tackle on-site challenges effectively.

A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Schedule

Monday to Friday with the potential for overtime.

Availability for weekend work.

Work Location : Primarily based in the Waterloo Region with some travel across Southern Ontario.
