Job Description – Expediting Analyst / Buyer’s Assistant

Location : On-site at 11450 Steeles Ave, Halton Hills, ON.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000 / year

Hours of work : Monday- Friday from 7am to 3pm

This program is available to students currently in their final year of studies or new graduates seeking full time opportunities. Students must be graduating no later than August 2025.

Job Summary & Career Path

The Fresh Taste Produce Rotational Leadership Development Program supports future business leaders. In this one-year program, you will rotate working with Leaders across the many functions of our business. You will gain exposure and ownership of projects that will assist in finding a suitable full-time role within the organization.

This program will lead to a range of opportunities within the organization, specifically in the Growers Relations Department. You will experience an acceleration to grow as a leader as you gain knowledge and hands-on experience on our end-to-end operations.

What Will You Do?

• Take ownership of projects as assigned by Senior Leadership.
• Assist teams within the Growers Relations Department and work closely with Buyers to understand business operations.
• Build a deep understanding of international logistics and trade and support the importation of various products from around the world.
• Gain exposure to our international team, working with growers, business partners and customers from multiple countries.
• Learn the complexities of the produce industry.
• Work with a highly skilled team of seasoned professionals.
• Work in a highly entrepreneurial and fast paced business.
• Support various operational initiatives to gain insights and business knowledge.

Requirements

• Currently in your final year of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related programs, or recently graduated in 2025.
• Experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry would be ideal.
• Has taken ownership of bigger projects within past co-op, internships, or other related professional roles.
• Must be willing to take on complex challenges and roll up sleeves to get the job done.
• Excellent communication, both written and oral, in English is a must.
• Ability to communicate, both written and / or orally, in another language is a plus.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced world of Produce.
• Can-do attitude is a must.
• Strong presentation skills would be considered an asset.
• Some travel may be required.
