Description
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in authentic Italian cuisine, with experience in both approachable and fine dining menu styles.
  • Develop and execute inspired Italian dishes, with a focus on flavor, presentation, and portion consistency.
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared to the highest standard and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain operational excellence in daily food preparation and kitchen execution.
  • Collaborate on seasonal menus, special features, and events to help market and promote the restaurant, including engaging with guests in the dining room.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and management of a high-performing kitchen team.
  • Drive financial performance by achieving targets in sales, labor cost, food cost, and inventory management.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Senior Management to align culinary operations with overall business goals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Italian cuisine; deep understanding of traditional and contemporary Italian cooking techniques.
  • Culinary certification or equivalent professional training.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an executive kitchen leadership role within an upscale casual or fine dining environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work opening and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be currently based in Vancouver.
