Job summary

A forestry services provider in Creston, BC, is seeking an Excavator Operator with at least 5 years of experience in building logging roads and operating excavators. Responsibilities include operating various excavators, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring efficient operation at various job sites. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience of building logging roads and bridges.
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating excavator, using a power grapple and timber handling.
• Min 2 years' experience operating D6, D7, or D8 bulldozers.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend road designs and maps.
• Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance.
• Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground and construction locations.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Willing to travel to different worksites daily.
• Motivated self-starter with positive attitude.
• Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.

• Assist in building and maintaining forestry service roads.
• Select and fit various attachments including buckets and grapples.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, perform daily inspections.
• Travel to various job sites daily.

• Perform general job set-up and site clean up.

We are looking for an Excavator Operator to join our BC Eco team in South Okanagan to Boundary region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proficiently operate 10 to 40 Ton excavators of various makes and models.
• Assist in building and maintaining forestry service roads by excavating, moving and loading dirt, rock and other materials.
• Select and fit various attachments including buckets, grapples, blades and rock breaking hammers.
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Operate other heavy equipment and vehicles as required and instructed by site supervisors.
• Travel to various job sites daily
• Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.
• General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table:

• Minimum 5 years' experience of building logging roads and bridges
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating excavator, using a power grapple and timber handling
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating D6, D7 or D8 bulldozers
