Overview

We are Webflow, a Website Experience Platform. We seek to empower developers to move faster and build high-quality web experiences. This role is for an Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity with responsibility for validation, build, and deployment systems to drive high-velocity product delivery, rapid incident resolution, and developer satisfaction.

About the role
  • Location: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada)
  • Employment type: Full-time, Permanent, Exempt
  • Compensation: The cash compensation is structured in geographic zones; base pay ranges vary by location and experience. Zone figures are provided for United States and Canada, with details below. The role may participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program. Base pay is determined by geographic location, experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.
  • United States (zones and ranges provided in USD): Zone A: $175,800 - $247,700; Zone B: $164,500 - $232,200; Zone C: $154,200 - $217,600
  • Canada (Ontario & British Columbia, CAD): CAD $199,300 - CAD $281,100
  • Note: Please confirm the zone for your location with your recruiter. See Careers page for more information on geographic pay zones.
  • Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Productivity

As the Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity, you’ll lead and optimize the validation, build, and deployment systems to enable fast, reliable software delivery.

  • Lead a high-performing team of engineers focused on CI/CD, testing, and pre-prod environments
  • Own and evolve build and deployment systems
  • Improve testing environments and pre-production workflows to enable faster iteration with stability
  • Introduce and operationalize AI-driven workflows that assess risks, monitor rollouts, and recommend or execute rollbacks based on live metrics
  • Partner with product engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of changes into production
  • Drive operational excellence by reducing triage workload, deployment risk, improving observability, and enforcing reliability and testing best practices
  • Coach and mentor engineers, foster growth, and manage on-call rotation/expectations

Webflow will support you in identifying development opportunities and help you incorporate them into your role.

About you

Requirements:

  • You have 3+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams, driving both people development and technical execution

You’ll thrive as an Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity if you:

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager leading CI/CD, DevOps, or Developer Productivity teams
  • Strong technical background in CI/CD tooling, deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and testing frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Buildkite (or similar CI tools), ArgoCD and ephemeral/pre-production environment management
  • Experience applying AI/ML techniques to DevOps processes, including automated monitoring, testing, rollouts, and rollbacks
  • Experience with core technologies such as Node, TypeScript, MongoDB, Nx, Statsig, Datadog, Nginx, Cloudflare
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills for cross-functional influence
  • Passion for developer experience, managing expectations, reliability, and scaling systems
  • Ability to balance strategic focus with day-to-day tactical work and ruthlessly prioritize
  • Curiosity and openness to growth, including fluency in emerging technologies like AI to accelerate progress
