Job description
Overview

We are looking to hire an Engineer in Training/Engineering Graduate for one of our mine sites in Timmins, Ontario on a full-time basis. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day or 4 on, 3 off, 10 hours per day. This role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

Responsibilities
  • Follow a rotation through various engineering functions (on surface and underground) that may include: Surveying, Ventilation, Ground control, Longhole planning, Development design, Scheduling and day-to-day tracking, Short-term planning.
  • The role may include time embedded with various underground production crews to understand mine production roles first hand.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Seeking P.Eng. license with PEO when eligible.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and techniques as they apply to ore body evaluation and underground mine operations.
  • Proficiency in mine planning software (Desik.CAD and Deswik.Sched).
  • The applicant must be eligible to work in Canada.
