FortisAlberta is intentional about investing in and developing our employees. Our Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program is a two- to four-year rotation-based program that allows new engineers to develop their skills in three core groups over 6 to 12 month terms. EITs will work in each of FortisAlberta’s three core engineering groups:
Additionally, EITs can rotate through other engineering specialties according to their interests and business needs. These groups include Standards & Projects Engineering, System Planning, Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Planning, Metering & Telecommunications, Power Quality, Asset Management, SCADA (with exposure to Control Centre Operations), and Regulatory Engineering.
FortisAlberta is looking for an Engineer in Training who, under the direction of the Manager Engineering/Senior Engineer, will gain skills and experience through training and development, coaching and mentoring while supporting the Engineering team on various assignments.
