Job summary

A community support organization based in Ontario is seeking an Employment Consultant – ODSP Specialist to provide employment counselling and case management services. This role focuses on helping clients with disabilities develop job readiness skills, secure sustainable employment, and access workplace accommodations. Ideal candidates will have experience in employment counselling and knowledge of the ODSP program.

Qualifications

  • Experience in employment counselling for individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of community resources and labour market trends.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one employment counselling and develop individualized Employment Action Plans.
  • Assist clients with resumes, interviews, job search strategies, and technology use.
  • Facilitate job search workshops (in-person or virtual).
  • Collaborate with employers to secure job placements and accommodations.
  • Support clients for up to 12 months post-employment to ensure retention.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EOIS CaMS and ES Cases systems.
  • Stay current on labour market trends and community resources.

About the Role

FOCUS is seeking an Employment Consultant – ODSP Specialist to provide employment counselling and case management services to job seekers, with a focus on individuals receiving ODSP or living with disabilities. This role helps clients develop job readiness skills, access training, and secure sustainable employment while advocating for workplace accommodations and supports.
