The Employee Care Coordinator (ECC) is responsible for facilitating successful care support for Paladin’s front-line staff. This is primarily achieved through following up on inquiries and related requests, maintaining employee personnel files, supporting reward/recognition programs, and liaising with internal divisions and departments to ensure follow-ups are happening effectively and efficiently. The ECC will provide regular KPI reporting focused on ensuring the continued success of the department and branch.

  1. Assists with employee care initiatives including the Annual Holiday Party, 24-hours of Thanks, etc.
  2. Composes, sends, and follows up on employee status letters.
  3. Administers the employee referral bonus program.
  4. Provides employment verification for front-line staff, including requests from lawyers for employee files.
  5. Creates letters of employment for employees.
  6. Uploads documentation and maintains employee personnel files via Filebound and HCM; upkeeps HR Scan folder and shared inbox.
  7. Enters and updates annual and probationary review compliances for employees.
  8. Tracks and follows up with employees to ensure SIN and study/work permit compliances are up to date.
  9. Processes site-specific enhanced clearances including GWL Reliability Status Clearances and BGIS Clearances.
  10. Provides employee support on matters pertaining to Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  11. Requires two years’ experience in Human Resources administration, benefits management, and/or data-entry based positions.
  12. Requires great presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, as the incumbent will serve as the main point of contact for HR queries for our hourly employees.
  13. Must be creative, solution-focused, and a keen learner.
  14. Autonomous and independent but also a team player who enjoys having a healthy bit of fun.
  15. Diploma in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced computer skills are assets.
  17. Knowledge of Employment Standards Legislation and Human Rights Legislation is an asset.
  18. Ability to manage multiple projects with varying severity and deadlines simultaneously.
  19. Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
  20. Must be able to pass a reliability clearance.
