Reports To: Laboratory Director
Location: Vancouver Clinic
Work Schedule: 4-day on, 4-day off rotation; 37.5 hours per week.

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitment of Olive Fertility Centre:
Supporting the Embryology area of the Laboratory, and reporting to the Laboratory Director, this position is pivotal to the organization. This role focuses on clinical embryology in the field of fertility.

- Patient Identification/Record Keeping, progress notes
- Media Preparation & QC
- In Vitro Fertilization/ICSI
- Sperm Shuttle
- Fertilization check
- Grading Embryos
- Embryo Culture/Extended Culture
- Embryoscope
- Laser Assisted Hatching
- Embryo Transfer
- Embryo Vitrification/Warming
- Oocyte Vitrification & Thaw
- Trophectoderm Biopsy/Processing of cells for PCR
- Transfer, Shipping and Receiving of Frozen Embryos and Eggs
- Discard of Abnormal/Unwanted Frozen Embryos
- Training Junior Embryologists
- Ordering Lab Supplies & Equipment
- Equipment Maintenance and Calibration, including gas system and Tri-Gas Blender
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Biological Sciences from an accredited university.
- At least 3 years’ laboratory experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience as an Embryologist-in-Training or Junior Embryologist.
- Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society certification.

- Proven ability creating effective tracking systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Calm, pleasant demeanour with strong telephone skills: pleasant tone and receptive voice.
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
