A.S.P. provides services to some of Canada's largest airports and has a significant presence in commercial and residential spaces in Ontario and Manitoba.

A.S.P. is seeking Conflict Resolution Guards who can deliver highly visible, advanced security services in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. Successful applicants must work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

What you will do:
  • Patrol the passenger terminal building on both the public and restricted sides.
  • Patrol PortsToronto facilities, including tunnels and ferry terminals.
  • Patrol the airport perimeter (foot and vehicle) security barriers (external & internal) and report deficiencies to the Airport Operations Communication Center.
  • Patrol the groundside curb, parking lots, and grounds around the airport.
  • Respond to calls for assistance from employees or as directed by the Airport Operations Communication Center.
  • Carry and use Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment as required.
  • Complete reports and logs on incidents, infractions, deficiencies, or irregularities during patrols.
  • Escort unauthorized persons out of restricted areas or premises if found therein.
  • Conduct general airside escorts as requested.
  • Assist emergency response personnel.
  • Assist the public with information and directions.
  • Maintain crowd control and public order within the airport.
  • Verify airport restricted area passes using mobile card readers.
  • Assist traffic control during peak times.
  • Enforce AVOP and RAIC regulations.
  • Operate portable radios for communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the North American security industry, with related security experience.
  • At least two (2) years experience in aviation security is an asset.
  • Graduate of a recognized community college in law enforcement, security administration, justice studies, social services, mental health, or healthcare is an asset.
  • Physical fitness and experience with making or assisting arrests.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Strong communication and observation skills, including report writing.
  • Ability to work under high stress.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions.
  • Licensed by the Province of Ontario as a registered Security Guard, with ongoing license validity.
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP-D) and a Restricted Access Identification Card (RAIC).
  • Standard First Aid, Use of Force training, CPR, and AED certifications.
  • Knowledge of security policies and related legislation, including the Criminal Code, PSISA, Trespass to Property Act, Fire Code, AODA, and WHMIS.
