Reports to: Electrical Manager

Shift: 12-hour continental shift

This position starts at a rate of $49.38 per hour, with yearly increases in October. In addition, the local union, the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, offers competitive benefits and a pension package.

Summary:

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing electrical maintenance to the company plant equipment. This includes diagnosis of breakdown causes, removal, replacement, and installation of components. Working knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, motors & motor controls, relays, and transformers is required. This role supports production operators who use this equipment. Good communication skills, team commitment, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are essential.

Location: Oakville/Mississauga, this unionized position offers a competitive salary and benefits. Shift work is required.

Minimum qualifications:

• Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily
• Post-secondary education (asset)
• Valid Electrical Certificate of Qualification (309A or 442A)
• Proof of Apprenticeship
• Experience with vendors and contractors
• Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, motors & motor controls, relays, transformers
• Understanding of manufacturing operations
• Maintenance and repair practices
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read and understand safety labels, instructions, signs
• Physical ability to climb ladders, work on platforms
• Work in industrial environment with hazards
