The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technologist, specializing in the inspection and design of electrical systems, to join our dynamic team. Our projects encompass new construction, renewals, energy consulting, and one-off inspections across mechanical, electrical, envelope, and civil work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed electrical system inspections and produce comprehensive electrical planning reports, with a focus on future needs like HVAC upgrades and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Perform calculations, inspections, and assessments of existing electrical systems.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to prepare Energy Audits and Depreciation Reports.
  • Design and layout electrical systems with an emphasis on practical, code-compliant solutions.
  • Estimate costs for electrical upgrades in multi-family complexes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technologists to deliver tailored solutions for buildings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC, or ASTTBC registration.
  • 1-2 years work experience in electrical design or consulting.
  • Knowledge of CEC 2024, BC electrical permitting processes, and relevant municipal bylaws.
  • Strong interest in building science and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits is an asset.
