Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrical Worker preferred.

Job Description and Responsibilities

At Interpro Pipe & Steel we manufacture engineered steel products for rail energy and industrial end markets at four production sites located in Canada (Regina Saskatchewan; Calgary Camrose and Red Deer Alberta). We hold leading positions in the Western Canada oil country tubular goods small diameter pipe and West Coast plate markets.

Reporting to the Director Maintenance Operations Regina the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for electrical maintenance related activities for an assigned work area including effective management and scheduling and is the primary point of contact for Operations on electrical maintenance issues.

Excellent knowledge of Maintenance Management Processes and fluent with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

Experience and knowledge of the design selection application and maintenance of power distribution systems such as high voltage switch gear substations transformers and motor control centers

Good knowledge and experience of working on AC / DC drive system DCS PLC and communication networks

Responsible for controlling attendance and adherence to working hours and approve overtime hours for his assigned work group.

Responsible for ensuring the quality of the work performed by their assigned work group as well as external contractors.

Required to create plan and prioritize Corrective Work Orders.

Good process control knowledge with experience on design selection application and maintenance of instrumentation and process control systems

Strong management skills including setting goals and priorities safety awareness budget control scheduling and employee development

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in a related field or a Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal)

5 years of experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment preferred

S upervisory or lead experience in a union environment preferred

Qualified Electrical Worker Preferred

Strong organizational & communication skills

Strong technical and problem-solving skills

Strong leadership and team building skills and be well-organized.

Good knowledge of MS Words Excel and PowerPoint.
