Job description
Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Supply Chain, the EDI Analyst, Customer Supply Chain will play a crucial role in supporting the SAP S/4 HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, requiring extensive expertise in EDI and the SAP environment. Key responsibilities include proactively monitoring and resolving data transfer issues, specifically EDI message discrepancies between SAP and external systems, and managing customer requests for onboarding to EDI for invoicing and ordering processes. The role demands in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, proficiency in EDI standards such as EDIFACT, ANSI X12, and XML. Familiarity with programming languages, expertise in data mapping and transformation, understanding of communication protocols like AS2, FTP, and SFTP, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to document processes and generate reports for stakeholders are also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to customer IDOCs, focusing on reference numbers and European Article Numbers (EAN).
  • Track and address discrepancies in 945 EDI transactions, ensuring accurate ship confirmations.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and fix failures in 940 EDI warehousing IDOCs, ensuring seamless warehouse operations.
  • Identify and correct errors in EDI customer invoices, ensuring accurate billing and financial records.
  • Address and fix IDOC failures related to inbound and outbound transactions from the Transportation Management System (TMS), ensuring smooth logistics and transportation processes.
  • Implement EDI specifications and mapping for new customers.
  • Analyze and understand business data needs, translating them into system requirements.
  • Coordinate EDI testing and trading partner implementation initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions.
  • Provide EDI technical support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor KPIs and report on EDI processes and transactions.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure the security and compliance of EDI data.
  • Evaluate and recommend updates or improvements to existing EDI systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or technical certification in EDI preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in EDI standards required.
  • Experience in EDI mapping, translation, and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, inside, and outside supply chain.
  • Proven strong judgment, decision-making ability, and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement in a customer-centric environment.
