Job summary

An Indigenous-led early learning center in Winnipeg seeks a full-time Early Childhood Educator II. Qualifications

Overview

POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME

Who We Are: Medicine Children’s Lodge Daycare is an Indigenous-led early learning and child care centre rooted in culture, land-based learning, language, and community. As we grow from 16 to 48 licensed spaces, we are building a team of educators who reflect and uplift the families we serve.

Qualifications
  • Valid ECE II classification in Manitoba
  • Current First Aid & CPR Level C
  • Clear Criminal Record Check; Child and Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • Completion of Commit to Kids training (or willingness to complete)
  • Completion of Accessibility for Manitobans Act training (or willingness to complete)
  • Experience in inclusive, play-based learning environments
  • Respect and appreciation for Indigenous knowledge, languages, and cultural practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a diverse team
  • Experience working with children with supportive requirements is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with adults and children in English; an Indigenous language is an asset
  • Experience working with circle of security framework is considered an asset
