Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of internal legislated and mandated training is required, including Safe Management Group (SMG).

Job Summary

Supporting individuals in all aspects of daily living while working as part of an inter-professional team, including an ABA lead and Behavioural Services Consultant, to directly implement all aspects of the behavioural intervention/support plan. A strong emphasis is placed on building capacity to function in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision of a program supervisor, develop written programs that aid in the acquisition of life skills in collaboration with the ABA lead.
  • Identify program needs of individuals supported; participate in the development and implementation of life plans; assist in monitoring achievement of personal outcomes.
  • Provide case management to individuals on caseload; provide appropriate personal and physical care, including medication administration, crisis response; advocate on behalf of individuals and liaise with family, medical and other professionals and service providers to address needs.
  • Provide emotional support to individuals on a one-on-one or group basis and refer to professionals when necessary.
  • Maintain documentation (including behavioural data and skill acquisition data), monitor finances, and ensure an appropriate standard of living.
  • Provide direction to part-time staff as required.
  • Provide feedback to the ABA lead regarding specific areas of program implementation.
