Overview

Mye Japanese Restaurant, an Oakville staple for over 38 years, is looking to expand the team. A great opportunity to learn why Mye is known as one of the best Japanese restaurants in the GTA and why most of our chefs stay with us for a very long time.

Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, making salads and helping with other chefs with prep.
• You will still start with washing dishes, but depending on your ability and willingness to learn, we hope you will be able to transition into a kitchen cook. During the interview, we can discuss this in further detail.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen & cooking experience is an asset — preferably in a Japanese or other Asian cuisine oriented kitchen.
• Must be able to handle a fast paced environment and work well with others. Looking for a long-term employee.
• Ability to speak Japanese or Mandarin is an asset.

Work Details

• Work days: Full-time Wednesday - Sunday (from 11:00 to close with a break in between lunch and dinner service).
• Pay: From $17.20 per hour
• Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
