Job description

We are looking for an experiencedDirector of Sales and Business Development for our client. This is a full-time, permanent position that is based in the Vancouver area. Our client is a small company providing food waste reduction services to businesses based in North America.

This is a B2B Sales role, with 2 available territories based in the Vancouver area (no long road trips)! The client has a great, friendly internal culture along with solid opportunities to earn and progress makes this a wonderful opportunity for an experienced, but still growing sales-person.

Responsible For:

  • Defining creative product and service offerings and associated business cases that meet customer and needs
  • Working across sales, product, operations and technology teams to drive alignment around the development of new solutions and refinement of existing solutions
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers via prospecting, networking and referral activities.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that are aligned to corporate objectives.
  • Build solid relationships with customers and partners and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of the sales and business development processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales and business development
  • Experience defining new products or services and defining business cases for them
  • Working across sales, operations and technology teams to drive alignment in the definition and delivery of new and existing products and services
  • Self-motivated and accountable for maintaining active revenue and margin targets
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
  • Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data.
  • Experience in working with Salesforce and 3rd party partner products
