Position Overview

The Global Director of Business Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the worldwide sales operations function, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, sales enablement, and customer success. This role drives strategic planning, sales process excellence, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across global regions. The position reports to the VP of Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a global sales operations strategy aligned with overall business goals
  • Partner with senior sales leadership to set sales priorities, and go-to-market plans.
  • Drive global consistency while enabling local/regional sales effectiveness.

Sales Performance & Forecasting

  • Own the global sales forecasting process; ensure accuracy, predictability, and transparency.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs, quotas, and pipeline metrics, recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights to support strategic decisions.

Process & Enablement

  • Design and implement scalable sales processes, methodologies, and best practices across regions.
  • Collaborate with sales enablement teams to ensure training, onboarding, and tools drive productivity.
  • Improve deal management, pipeline visibility, and forecasting discipline.

Systems & Tools

  • Oversee the global sales tech stack (CRM, analytics platforms, forecasting tools).
  • Partner with IT and business systems teams to ensure adoption, integration, and innovation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance sales productivity.

Revenue Operations & Alignment

  • Manage pricing governance, discounting policies, and contract processes.

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global sales operations team.
  • Foster collaboration across geographies, cultures, and functions.
  • Establish a data-driven, performance-oriented culture.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or related commercial functions.
  • 5+ years in a global or senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in driving sales process improvements, forecasting, and pipeline management at scale.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise B2B sales models (SaaS, technology, or multinational industries preferred).
  • Deep expertise with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
