Compensation: $160,000.00 to $180,000.00 yearly
Our client in the GTA is seeking a Director, FP&A who will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. This position will be responsible for revenue forecasts, analyzing data-driven trends, and communicating actionable insights to the senior management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and reporting of key performance indicators for worldwide sales.
Responsibilities
- Leading the financial planning and analysis in partnership with regional business partners in planning, forecasting and reporting cycles (annually, quarterly and monthly), and other key financial metrics to support business initiatives and continuous improvement to increase financial performance.
- Designing advanced analytics strategy and applying quantitative skills to business problems and translating data into actionable insights to inform key decisions. Summarize and present data and insights to senior management leaders throughout cross functional groups.
- Ensuring objectivity of the forecasts of opportunities through establishing objectives aligned around forecast accuracy.
- Collaborating with Product Management, Marketing, Finance and other functions to provide marketing analytics and solutions to identify and evaluate opportunities to transform the business.
- Drive key corporate reporting requirements to the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
- Drive high-impact strategic and operational initiatives and deliver business analytics and insights to support decision making related to unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities.
- Help drive the company’s annual planning and budgeting process, long term plan and overall financial model.
- Apply a data-driven analytical approach to influence decision making and support company leadership in evaluating strategic initiatives.
- Interface with peers to evaluate and advise on the financial impact of short and long-term strategic and operational plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree in Finance, Business Management, or Analytics/Statistics is preferred.
- 15 years of experience in corporate/strategic finance in publicly traded companies with high level knowledge in commercial operations.
- Experienced CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification with either sell-side or buy-side experience analyzing tools and diagnostics companies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with senior management leaders on financial planning, strategic business plans, and execution.
