Job description

Kuby Renewable Energy Ltd is an Edmonton-based solar PV contracting company, with offices in Kamloops, BC, Calgary, AB, and Lethbridge, AB. Kuby Energy services Western and Northern Canada, providing full-service residential and commercial solar power and energy storage solutions. In this rapidly growing industry, Kuby is looking for someone with a strong desire to grow with us as a company and facilitate clean energy solutions across Canada.

Position Summary

The Direct Solar Sales Expert will promote and sell solar energy solutions to residential customers. They will educate potential customers on the benefits of solar energy, assess their energy needs, and design customized solar solutions to meet those needs. Their primary goal will be to increase solar adoption, contribute to sustainable energy initiatives, and drive business growth while maintaining a high level of service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Identify and engage with potential customers through various means, referrals, networking, and attending industry events.
  2. Knock on potential customer doors to generate interest in solar.
  3. Book appointments for our internal sales team to close leads.
  4. Develop and maintain a database of leads and effectively prioritize them for sales outreach.
  5. Educate customers on the advantages of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental benefits, and available incentives or rebates.
  6. Negotiate and persuade clients to close deals to meet sales targets.
  7. Conduct site visits and meet with customers.
  8. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales experience in solar energy, renewable energy, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with solar energy products, systems, and industry trends.
  • Any relevant sales certifications or licenses in the solar or renewable energy field (desired, but not mandatory).
