Your focus will be on the implementation of an innovative digital marketing strategy, including digital content creation and storytelling, SEO, CRM, digital collateral, ensuring that it is customised to the community, with the intention of increasing engagement, effectiveness and contributing to our commercial growth, all with a laser focused customer lens and a focus on personalisation and automation.

You will also:
  • Support the wider Marketing & Communications business unit, working collaboratively with our business units to deliver digital marketing services.
  • Identify and implement best practice communication and engagement techniques in the digital space, including websites and social media based on industry trends and analytics.
  • Assist in managing the Councils digital channels, monitoring Councils social media channels and online reputation.
  • Be part of continuous improvement of website content including refreshing content, simplifying content, and improving our customer's experience.
  • Provide guidance and support to your marketing and communications colleagues, particularly around best practise.
  • Significantly contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, passion, and purpose.

This role is fixed term till August 2026 due to Parental Leave.

About you:

With a minimum five years in digital marketing or related role, you will bring with you demonstrated experience in digital content creation (website, eDM, social media), CRM, SEO, translating multiple data sets into effective insights, integrated campaign management and strategy planning.

You will also have:
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of marketing across the range of channels including online/digital, web and print.
  • Ability to work proactively with colleagues and clients to identify digital marketing opportunities, trends and to advocate for a strategic and tactical approach.
  • Accurate, engaging writing skills in a variety of channels.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately for a range of audiences and adapt style accordingly.
  • Experience in building close working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritise projects and effective projects and time management skills.
