Dietary Aide

Part time / Casual

It's an exciting time to join Golden Life as we expand our seniors housing, care, and services across western Canada.

We’re seeking qualified Dietary Aides to join our kitchen team at Coastal Breeze Village in Powell River, BC. If you are an enthusiastic team player with a passion for providing high-quality care and support for seniors, we would love to hear from you!

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Portioning and serving food and beverages in the dining room, and managing supplies.
  • Loading hot wagons and delivering food to resident neighborhoods.
  • Stocking resident kitchens with items such as paper products, snacks, beverages, and staple goods.
  • Preparing tables in dining areas before mealtimes with napkins, placemats, utensils, condiments, and beverages.
  • Preparing beverages and simple food items like tea, coffee, toast, sandwiches, and salads.
  • Assisting the Chef with meal portioning and service during special and catered events.
  • Performing cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
  • Handling clerical duties such as answering phones and documenting on menu cards.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service, food service, or retail environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Food Safe Certification and Serving It Right Certification.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector).
  • Physician's Waiver (if applicable).
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
